Terms of use
Last updated 22 September 2026
These terms explain how you may use Electra. By continuing, you agree to them.
What Electra is
Electra is a free civic information app for Nigerian voters, run by CVICK. It helps you find your polling unit, read about candidates and follow verified election updates.
Electra is not INEC and does not run elections. For official decisions, always check with the Independent National Electoral Commission.
Using the app
Use Electra for lawful, personal purposes only. Don't try to break it, overload it, copy its data in bulk or pretend to be someone else.
You are responsible for keeping your phone and sign-in codes safe. Never share a code with anyone — Electra staff will never ask for it.
Accuracy of information
We take polling unit records and candidate lists from INEC and link every update to its original source. Some details, like accessibility, are reported by citizens and volunteers.
We work to keep everything correct, but information can change or contain mistakes. If you spot one, tell us through Feedback in Settings.
Neutrality
Electra never tells anyone who to vote for. Candidates are presented the same way, and Electra AI will not recommend, rank or predict.
Messages we send
We send sign-in codes by SMS or WhatsApp when you ask for them. Election updates on WhatsApp and app notifications are optional — switch them off at any time in Settings.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the app grows. The date at the top shows the latest version; continuing to use the app means you accept it.
